Succession Sprint

Developing your future leaders from within will benefit the organization through continuity, increased retention, reduced recruitment/hiring costs, and a sustained culture and value system.

The first step all new clients take is our two-day Succession Sprint. It is conducted at your site (or location of your choosing) with all your senior leaders so that you are assured that everyone is on board with the future strategy of the organization and will work cooperatively to achieve it.

The Succession Sprint concentrates on defining the leadership pipeline your organization needs to achieve its goals in the next 3, 5, and 10 years. It identifies not only individuals but the skills and capabilities needed to meet the future.

After the two days, we take all of our notes and the priorities that were identified during our time together and create a development plan to ensure your future leaders are prepared to meet the challenge.

We have a number of methods that will allow you to implement the development plan yourself, or you can choose to utilize our consulting and advisory services to get the ball rolling.

Career Pathing

Career paths positively impact recruitment, retention, and leadership pipeline growth by encouraging employees to build and expand their skills within your company.

Recruitment: Young people are attracted to companies that have planned professional development and career growth opportunities.
Retention: Having the ability to grow one’s skills and earn promotions or certifications ensures employees stay with you instead of looking for opportunities elsewhere.
Leadership pipeline: The longer you are able to retain talent, the better your future leaders embody your culture, values, and business goals.

Career paths are simple (but time-consuming) to create.

We can start with your most critical needs first and grow over time.

 Peer Group Learning

Peer groups have quickly become the most effective and economical way to increase on-the-job performance.

Peer groups are bi-weekly or monthly meetings of co-workers in the same role or at the same level of the organization who help one another to do their jobs better. The meetings are conducted virtually with a planned agenda intended to further both skills and professional relationships among the attendees.

For example, a group of 8 – 12 project managers might meet bi-weekly to discuss interpersonal issues, such as how to deal with an underperforming direct report and occupational issues such as how to keep a technical glitch from derailing a project (aka sharing experiences and best practices).

The meetings are ninety minutes. For the first sixty minutes, we introduce topics that we have identified – with you – as critical to developing leadership skills. These discussions may be prefaced by reading or video assignments or assessments. The final thirty minutes are for in-the-moment sharing and Q+A.

To maximize fluency with new material, learners should practice skills, concepts, and strategies in multiple contexts over time. Practice builds neurons in the brain, making it easier to retrieve and apply this knowledge.

Facilitate Board Meetings / Strategy Meetings

If you are planning a strategy retreat or board meeting, we can assist by keeping you on task, recording decisions. prioritizing action items and clarifying contentious points of view. Our role is to be a neutral observer and meditator when needed.

$1500 per day

 Facilitate Internal Executive Round Table

We typically conduct these for organizations with over 100 senior leaders. Executive Round Tables (ERT) are a cross between peer groups and strategy meetings. They can be a few hours to a few days in length and are intended to drill down into issues of the day that are impacting your company (like the great resignation).

The senior leaders in attendance share their concerns as well as their best practices and a more unified company approach results. The ERT saves managers and leaders from feeling like they have to solve every issue themselves. These are one-time events with a single agenda item and the purpose of “solving a problem” collaboratively.

Time and cost are based on individual needs.
